Meta
Ads run on Meta serve on Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and Meta's partner publishers on the audience network. With Meta's expansion into AR/VR, there may also be Quest placements available in the near future. A full list of all of Meta's placements can be found here.
TikTok
In most cases, you can expect your client's ads to serve strictly on TikTok. However, there are some countries where ads may serve in partner apps like CapCut, Pangle, etc. A full list of TikTok placements can be found here.
Snapchat
Snapchat ads appear directly on Snapchat in a variety of placements like between stories or within specific publisher content. For a full list of placements on Snap, click here.
LinkedIn
LinkedIn ads can typically be found directly on the platform in a variety of placements like in-feed or directly within someone's messages. LinkedIn also has an audience network of partner publishers where ads may serve. A full list of LinkedIn placements can be found here.
Pinterest
Pinterest ads show up in the Browse (Home) and Search sections of Pinterest. A list of all ad types that may run in these placements can be found here.
YouTube
While in-stream is the most thought of YouTube placement, there are a variety of different placements a YouTube ad can serve in. A full list of these placements can be found here. It's important to note that while YouTube ads can serve on TV devices from within the YouTube app, advertisers will not receive YouTubeTV inventory, which is a completely separate app.
Spotify
Spotify ads will serve exclusively on Spotify, typically in the beginning, middle, or end of podcasts or between songs. A full list of ad experiences on Spotify can be found here.
Google Ads
With the expansion into Performance Max, advertisers who sign up for Google Ads can expect their ads to appear on/in Google Search results, Gmail, YouTube, Discover, Maps, and the Google Display Network. It's important to note that when search is the main focus, non PMax campaign placements will likely be limited strictly to the search engine results page unless a search partners test is being conducted.
Microsoft Ads
Microsoft ads can serve beyond just Bing on a a variety of Microsoft's properties like Xbox, MSN, the Microsoft Audience Network, Microsoft Edge, Outlook.com, and more. It's important to note that when search is the main focus, non PMax campaign placements will likely be limited strictly to the search engine results page unless a search partners test is being conducted.
Custom Display
Custom Display ads serve on any website or app that has ad inventory. Some specific examples are hgtv.com, cars.com, and The Weather Channel app. Custom Display ads do not, however, serve within walled garden inventory (like Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc.) The benefit of Custom Display is that your agency/client can request to run exclusively within certain ad placements, like above the fold only on specific domains like espn.com.
Custom Video
Custom Video ads serve on any website or app with a video player (that is not an embedded YouTube video) that has ad inventory. Some specific examples are hgtv.com, cars.com, and The Weather Channel app. Custom Video ads do not, however, serve within walled garden inventory (like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) The benefit of Custom Video is that your agency/client can request to run exclusively within certain ad placements, like pre-roll placements only on specific domains like espn.com.
Custom OTT
Advertisers signing up for Custom OTT will have a variety of platforms to choose to run on including Max, Disney+, Hulu, and Peacock.
Custom Audio
Custom Audio ads serve exclusively on Pandora and iHeart. Any advertiser looking for Spotify inventory can choose Spotify instead of Custom Audio as the desired channel to run media.
Programmatic Display
Programmatic Display ads serve on any website or app that has ad inventory. Some specific examples are hgtv.com, cars.com, and The Weather Channel app. Programmatic Display ads do not, however, serve within walled garden inventory (like Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc.).
Programmatic Video
Programmatic Video ads serve on any website or app with a video player (that is not an embedded YouTube video) that has ad inventory. Programmatic OTT ads do not serve on Max, Disney+, Hulu, or Peacock. Advertisers looking to serve on these platforms should sign up for Custom OTT.
Programmatic Audio
Programmatic Audio ads serve through trusted supply partners like Triton and AdsWizz, putting them on platforms like SoundCloud, TuneIn and many others. Programmatic Audio ads do not serve on Pandora or Spotify, but can occasionally serve on iHeart Radio.
