To run a YouTube campaign, Conduit requires access to the following:
Access to one of three to provide access to creatives (steps linked below). See creative recs here.
Note: If you do not have an existing account, you'll need to create one first and ensure it has billing & payment information. You may build an empty account and do not need to create a campaign.
Once you have an existing Google Ads account complete with payment info, you may proceed with the following steps.
Access Steps
Follow the steps below to provide access to the appropriate Google ad account. In addition to the account, we will also need creatives (via YT Studio Brand Account, or direct links), Google Analytics, and GTM.
Step 1: Log in to your client’s Google Ads account.
Step 2: Select your client’s account, and locate the CID
Step 3: Send us the CID via Teamwork Message
Step 4: We will then request access to link the Account via our Reporting Ninja manager account
Step 5: After we’ve confirmed we’ve requested access, you or your client will just need to accept
YouTube Studio Access
Step 1: Go to studio.youtube.com
Step 2: Sign in using the login credentials of the YouTube Channel owner
Step 3: On the left-hand side navigation bar, click Settings
Step 4: Click Permissions
Step 5: In the top right corner, click the Invite
Step 6: Type in admin@reporting.ninja and choose Editor as the role
Step 7: Click Invite and Done
Tip: By providing YouTube Studio access instead of links, Conduit is able to upload the raw .mp4 creative files to acquire the YouTube creative links that are needed when building your YouTube campaign. If YouTube Studio access is unable to be provided, we can accept creative links being supplied by your agency. It’s important to note that if the latter option is chosen, your agency is required to handle all creative changes throughout the duration of the campaign.
